A builder, not a peaker.
PEGGY GOU started in 2018 with a residency at OST Berlin and has, since, built a reputation as a builder rather than a peaker — sets that arrive at one inevitable point, then refuse to leave it.
The early years were a quiet apprenticeship — small rooms in Kreuzberg, late slots at Tresor's Globus, a steady commute between Berlin and Roma where she co-founded the AFG Records imprint with two friends from the Italian techno underground.
Her records since "Mire EP" (Feb 2026) lean further into the dub-techno lineage — sparse rhythm sections, long sustained chords, a patience that resists current peak-time conventions. Live, she plays three or four hours when permitted, with a residency at Circoloco and recent headlining slots at Berghain Klubnacht, Spring Attitude and Fabric.
What she avoids: drops as punctuation, festival mid-bills designed for a one-hour rotation, B2Bs without rehearsal. What she's for: long sets, dark rooms, sound systems with bass that arrives like weather.
